Paragraph 3.5.3  Retention period

175. The EDPB recommends that manufacturers provide a simple functionality (such as a delete button) enabling data subjects to quickly and easily remove their personal data from the car’s dashboard.

176. Rental companies shall define clear internal procedures to erase personal data stored on the car’s dashboard before the vehicle can be rented again.
