SECTION 3  DEFINITIONS

6. It is important to understand which processing operations benefit from the special regime foreseen in the GDPR and elaborated on in the present guidelines. Therefore, the terms “data concerning health”, “processing for the purpose of scientific research” as well as “further processing” (also referred to as “primary and secondary usage of health data”) must be defined. (see sections 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3.)
